Obituary
James L. Brown age 78 of Garrett, IN died Saturday at Presence Sacred Heart Home – Avilla, IN. He was born November 26, 1938 in Knoxville, TN to James and Maude (Ray) Brown and they preceded him in death. He married Christine R. Reid on November 5, 1960 in New Port, KY and she died May 11, 2009.
James worked in quality control at Navistar, retiring in 1996
He was a United States Navy veteran.
James is survived by 3 daughters: Denise and Allen Green, Bryan, OH; Tonya and Jerry Pearson, Middlebury, IN; Janice ad Andy Gonya, Garrett, IN; son: James A. Brown, Ft. Wayne, IN; 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren
Private burial will take place at a later date.
