James I. Diederich, 70, of Garrett, IN died on Sunday, November 2, 2008 at DeKalb Memorial Hospital in Auburn, IN. He was born April 30, 1938 in Garrett, IN to August F. and Vesta R. (Barber) Diederich. James worked in Parts and Maintaince at Yoder Ford in Garrett for 15 years. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Garrett, IN. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 from 12 - 2 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Garrett, IN. The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Jeffrey Horn officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn, IN. Survivors include: Brother - David "Barney" Diederich of Garrett, IN Niece - Rebecca Diederich of Garrett, IN Great Nephew - Brandon Bowman of Garrett, IN Brother-In-Law - Munson Baughman of Auburn, IN He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Evelyn Baughman, Nancy Hazelton, Wanda Savio and Marlene Miller.
