James E. Fike age 90 of Garrett, IN died Saturday, August 3, 2013 at his home. He was born February 24, 1923 in Kendallville, IN to Arthur and Elva (Harter) Fike. He married Dorothy Moore in 1950 and she died March 6, 2004. He was a tool and die machinist at J and P machine until his death. James is survived by 2 sons and a daughter: Jerry (Vicky) Fike, Daytona Beach, FL and James C. "Bud" (Paula) Fike, Garrett, IN and Deborah (Denny) Dallas, Garrett, IN. He is also survived by a sister: Beverly Thurman, Garrett, IN and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents: Arthur and Elva Fike; wife: Dorothy Fike; 3 brothers: Harold Fike, Arthur Fike Jr., Charles Fike and a sister: Edna Schulthess. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday, August 5, 2013 and 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Thomas Funeral Home - Garrett, IN Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Thomas Funeral Home with Rev.
