James E. Leeson age 73 of Garrett, IN died Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at his home. Jim was born January 18, 1944 in Garrett, IN to Sam and Ursula (Vanderbosch) Leeson and they preceded him in death.

Jim was a computer consultant and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church – Garrett, IN; Knights of Columbus Council #1790, Rosary Society and many Pro-Life groups.

Jim is survived by his sons: Jarod (Nikki ) Leeson, Ft. Wayne, IN; Deren (Kevin Drawdy) Leeson, Orlando, FL; daughter: Dawn Leeson, Tarpon Springs, FL; sister: Janice E. (Rodney) Knisely, Ft. Wayne, IN; 7 grandchildren: Manny Varela, Clearwater, FL; Alex Varela, Oldsmar, FL; Savannah Powell, Oldsmar, FL; Peyton Powell, Oldsmar, FL; Jenna Leeson, Ft. Wayne, IN; Mallory Leeson, Ft. Wayne, IN; Connor Leeson, Ft. Wayne, IN; 2 great grandchildren: Reina Varela, Clearwater, FL ad Vasilis Theofilou, Oldsmar, FL.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents: Sam and Ursula Leeson; brothers: Richard Leeson and Robert Leeson.

Visitation will take place from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, IN

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, May 8, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 301 W. Houston St., Garrett, IN with Fr. Jim Shafer officiating.

Burial will take place in Embrey Cemetery – rural Garrett.
