Janice E. (Leeson) Knisely

June 23, 1942 – June 19, 2017

Janice graduated from Garrett High School Class of 1960. Janice attended St. Joseph School of Nursing, graduated RN in 1963. Janice worked for 30 years in numerous hospitals in Indianapolis. Blue Cross Shield, and nine years at Indiana Boys School Plainfield, Indiana. Janice home church is St. Joseph Catholic Church, Garrett, IN; she belonged to several Catholic Churches in Indianapolis and Plainfield, IN. She was a member of the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception Fort Wayne. Her most recent church was St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Fort Wayne.

Janice is survived by her husband: Rodney E. Knisely; Fort Wayne, IN; daughters: Teresa Hensley, Fort Wayne, IN; Rita (Dennis) Linder, Fort Wayne, IN; son: Timothy Hensley, Fort Wayne, IN; step son: Danny Knisely and step daughter: Debbie Gray, both of Camden, SC.; granddaughters: Joanna and Jessica Linder, Fort Wayne, IN

Janice was preceded in death by her parents: Sam and Ursula Leeson; brothers: Richard Leeson, Robert Leeson and James Leeson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, June 26, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 301 W. Houston St., Garrett, IN with Fr. Jim Shafer and Deacon Jim Kitchen officiating.

Visitation will take place from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, IN. Rosary will be from 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Deacon Jim Kitchens officiating.

Burial will take place in Embrey Cemetery – rural Garrett, IN.
