Janice Marie Koenig, 75, died on July 13, 2012 at Provena Sacred Heart Home in Avilla. Born October 17, 1936 in Fort Wayne, to John and Mary (Christie) Cutter, who preceded her in death, she was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed sewing, reading and classical music. Janice married Kenneth R. Koenig August 14, 1965 and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garrett. Surviving are her husband; sons, Stephen R. (Kristin Lion) Koenig of Chicago, John K. (Marcie) Koenig of Fort Wayne and Kevin H. Koenig of Indianapolis; daughter Susan M. (Bill) Webb of Mineral Point, WI; brothers, John Cutter of Ft. Myers, FL, Richard Cutter of Northeast, PA and David Cutter of Erie, PA, sisters, Susan Snyder of New York, NY and Maria Greenwald of Mobile, AL; brother in-law, Jack (Janice) Koenig of Ft. Wayne and four grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 16, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garrett, with Fr. Andrew Nazareth officiating. Burial will follow in Catholic Cemetery in Fort Wayne. Visitation will be from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are to Masses.
