John W. Brennan age 87 of Garrett, IN died at 12:30 a.m. Sunday, July 1, 2007 at Provena Sacred Heart Home in Avilla, IN. Mr. Brennan was born October 5, 1919 in Garrett, IN to Peter R. and Agnes B. (Lauby) Brennan. He married Marjorie A. Kokenge on November 26, 1948 in Auburn, IN and she died November 29, 2000. Mr. Brennan was an engineer on the B & O Railroad for 40 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garrett, IN and the Garrett American Legion. He volunteered for Meals On Wheels and the Garrrett Recycling Center. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 4, 2007.and 1 hour prior to services Thursday, July 5, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garrett, IN. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at Thomas F.H. Mass Of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 5, 2007 at St. Joseph Church - Garrett, IN Burial in Catholic Cemetery - Auburn, IN Military graveside services by the Garrett American Legion and VFW.
