John J. Grama age 86 of Garrett, In died at 3:06 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2007 at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN. John was born June 29, 1921 in Willard, OH to John and Mary (Sarchis) Grama. He married Joanna F. (Simon) Richmond on July 13, 1947 in Willard, OH and she diedMarch 24, 1993. He later married Mary (Weeks)Barcus on JUne 24, 1995 in Auburn, IN. He owned Simon's Grocery in Garrett, IN. John was a WW II Army veteran. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and theGarrett American Legion, VFW, Eagles, Elks and the Knights of Columbus in Garrett, IN. He was also a member of the Garrett Fire Department. Calling for relatives and friends will be on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Mass of Christian burial will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church - Garrett, IN. Officiating will be Fr. Ted Uwakwe Burial at a later date in Calvary Cemetery, Garrett, IN Memorials are to the donors choice.
