John M. Greuter II, age 57 of Garrett, IN died at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at his home. He was born January 13, 1953 in Noble County to John M. and Betty Jane (Thomas) Greuter and they preceded him in death. He was an Air Force veteran from 1978-1979 and was a laborer at Cold Heading in Ashley, IN for a few years. He is survived by a daughter - Tracey and Bradley Bley and 2 sons - Chris and LaPamela Greuter and Shay Greuter, all of Garrett, IN. He is also survived by 2 brothers - Sam and Diane Greuter, Auburn, IN and Joe Greuter, Kendallville, IN and 2 sisters - Roxanne and Larry Williams, Auburn, IN and Alaura and Rod Parrish, Charlotte, NC. Surviving are his 4 grandsons - Aaron & Adam Bley and Steven Simpkins & Christopher Greuter II, all of Garrett. Also surviving are 4 granddaughters - Ashley & Amber Bley, Shai Greuter, and Olivia Greuter all of Garrett, IN. A military graveside service will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at VA Medical Center - Marion, IN at the chapel. The U.S. Air Force will provide military honors. Burial will follow in Marion National Cemetery - Marion, IN.
