GARRETT — John J. Roush, 95, of Garrett, died Sunday March 18, 2018, at Miller's Merry Manor in Garrett.

He was born on Jan. 14, 1923, in Warren County to the late James and Toy (Hurley) Roush. A World War II Army veteran, he was a member of the Huntington American Legion Post 2689. He retired from Essex Wire in Fort Wayne after 38 years of service. On July 11, 1948, he married Edith Anderson, who preceded him in death in 1991.

Survivors include his sons, John A. (Juanita) Roush of Garrett, and Steven Roush of Huntington; a step-granddaughter; step-great-granddaughter; step-great-great-grandson; and several sisters.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 5 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett. Pastor Janice Dimick will officiate. A private burial will be in Gardens of Memory in Muncie.

Calling will be Thursday from 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
