John D. Scranage II age 55 of Waterloo, IN died Friday, April 21, 2017 at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home - Ft. Wayne, IN. John was born February 2, 1962 in Elkhart, IN and graduated from DeKalb High School in May 1981. John married Robin L. Wells on March 24, 1984 in Auburn, IN. He was a machine repair person and maintenance man for Guardian Industries for 32 years. John was a past member of the Auburn Presbyterian Church and was a lifetime member of the NRA and North American Hunting Club. He was an assistant scoutmaster for Troop #169. John is survived by his wife: Robin L. Scranage, Waterloo, IN; mother: Darlene M. Scranage, Auburn, IN; daughter: Kayla (Clinton) Custer, Anchorage, Alaska; 2 sons: Ivan (Brook Cronin) Scranage, Waterloo, IN; Gavin Scranage, Waterloo, IN; 2 brothers: Mark Scranage, Auburn, IN; Steven Scranage, Fairview, MT; 3 sisters: Joan (Patrick) Donegan, Harrisburg, VA; Anne (Allan) Burrage, Lake Alfred, FL and Beth (Patrick) Scranage-Douglas, Auburn, IN Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, IN. Services will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Thomas Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Dilley officiating. Private burial will follow in Fairfield Cemetery - Corunna, IN.
