Julia R. Newman age 87 of Garrett, IN died Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Miller's Merry Manor - Garrett, IN. She was born May 28, 1928 in Garrett, IN to Donald and Grace (Sherman) Martin and they preceded her in death. She married James C. Kelham and he died May 29, 1979. She later married Walter Newman and he died on July 7, 1986. Julia worked in assembly at Cooper Tire - Auburn, IN for 27 years. She was a member of the Christian Union Brethren in Christ Church - Garrett, IN. Julia is survived by 3 daughters: Cindy (Denny) Molargik, Huntertown, IN; Sarah (Bryan Caudill) Lanman, Angola, IN; Sandy (Todd) Bishop, Auburn, IN; 5 sons: George Kelham, Garrett, IN; Ray (Cindy) Kelham, Garrett, IN; Steven D. (Kathy) Kelham, Avilla, IN; David Kelham, Garrett, IN and Donald Newman, Garrett, IN. She is survived by 19 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, IN from 11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. A service will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Thomas Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Wilcoxson officiating.
