June V. Miller, age 91 of Avilla, IN and formerly of Garrett, IN died at 8:25 pm on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at Provena Sacred Heart Home. She was born June 2, 1916 in Fort Wayne, IN to Edward N. and Mary (Stogdill) Jones. She married C. Maurice Miller in 1938 and he died December 22, 1982. June was a teacher in the East Allen Community School Corporation for 20 years, retiring in 1980. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Auburn, IN. She was an organist at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garrett, IN from 1955 until 1975 and worked at the American Red Cross for 20 years. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Friday, October 5,2007 at Thomas Funeral Home and from 9-11 am on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at Provena Sacred Heart Home in Avilla, IN. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 am Saturday at Provena Sacred Heart Home, with Fr. Daniel Leeuw officiating. Burial will follow in Christian Union Cemetery, Garrett, IN.
