Kathleen A. Kurtz age 69 of Garrett, died on Friday, September 4, 2009 at her residence. She was born April 1, 1940 in Garrett to Lafayette and Mildred (Stred) Nodine. She married Warren G. Kurtz on July 31, 1960 in Garrett and he died December 30, 2001. Kathleen was a clerk at Bill's Liquor Store in Garrett and was a member of the Garrett Eagles. Survivors include: Daughter - Lissa Butler, Garrett, IN 4 Brothers - Robert, Richard and Kenneth Nodine all of Garrett and Eugene Nodine, Ashley, IN 3 Sisters - Carolyn Zeider, Janet Bowers and Sandra Richmond, all of Garrett. 5 Grandchildren 1 Great Grandchild Preceded in death by: Husband - Warren G. Kurtz Son - Terry Kurtz A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at Thomas Funeral Home with calling from 2-6 p.m. Burial will be Staurday, September 12, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Embrey Cemetery - Garrett Memorials are to DeKalb Heart Association.
