Lawrence "Larry" R. Sheehan, 83 of Garrett, died on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at his residence. He was born June 6, 1929 in Minneapolis, MN to the late Raymond and Anna Sheehan. He was a Korean War Veteran having served in the US Air Force. He married Alice M. McGlade on November 24, 1956 in Minneapolis and she survives in Fort Wayne. He was the Owner of Sheehan Hearing Aid Center for over 40 years. Larry was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garrett, St. Vincent DePaul, Ft. Wayne, Garrett American Legion and Knights of Columbus Council 1790. He is also survived by a daughter, Rosie (Mark) Oswald of Fort Wayne and 2 grandchildren, Abby and Dillon Oswald of Fort Wayne. He was also preceded in death by 4 brothers, Ray, Jim, John and Don Sheehan and a sister, Mary Hoffman. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 15 at 4 p.m. with visitation 1 hour prior at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garrett with Fr. Gary Sigler officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Cedar Creek Cemetery in Garrett. In lieu of flowers memorials are to St. Joseph Catholic School or Donor's Choice
