Larry Edward Wiley, 76 of Fort Wayne, IN (originally from Garrett, IN) quietly passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024. Larry was a 1965 graduate of Garrett High School and went to serve in the United States Army with his tour in Vietnam. He attended Indiana University and received his degree in Hotel and Motel Management. His life led him to many different locations and employment opportunities, but Larry's real passion was the Theatre. He appeared in the movie Suburbia while in California before moving to Illinois. He spent much of his life in Chicago and did acting part time at Oak Park Village Players, Circle theatre and various theatres in Chicago during that time. He returned to Indiana after retirement and did some plays in Fort Wayne, IN, with one of his last being a Daniel Evans Film titled Sail Away.

He is survived by his sister: Deb Wiley of Paulding, Ohio, sister in-law: Mary Wiley, Thornhill, TN; nephews: Matthew (Mary) Brindle of Jones, OK; Brian Wiley, TN; Brad Wiley, TN. Nieces: Mary (Dan) Hjelm of Hamilton, IN; Beth (Michael) Schweinsberg of Paulding, OH; and nephew: Craig (Laura) Wiley of ND; niece: Andrea (Lorenzo) Miller, TN.  He was blessed with many great nieces and great nephews as well.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ray F. and Lillian Wiley, brothers Steven R. Wiley and Thomas L. Wiley.

Visitation will be on Monday, May 13, 2024 from 2:00 p.m.  – 4:00 p.m.  with the service immediately following at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 County Road 56, Garrett, IN 46738 with Funeral Celebrant Thomas Drzewiecki officiating. There  are no graveside services. Memorials are to any local Veterans Services of your choice.
