Laura Zuehsow age 92 of Garrett, IN died at 8:24 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2015 at Parkview Noble Hospital - Kendallville, IN. She was born June 18, 1922 in Chicago, IL to Karl H. and Minnie B. (Kottwitz) Rabey and they preceded her in death. She married Milton E. Zuehsow on June 5, 1943 in Chicago, IL and he died on December 12, 1993.She was a lifetime Chicago resident before moving to Garrett, IN in June 1990. Laura was an elementary school teacher (K-1-2) with the Lutheran School System, retiring in 1985 after 31 years. She received her teaching degree from Concordia Teachers College, River Forrest, IL. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Garrett, IN. Laura is survived by 3 sons: David Zeeso, Charlotte, NC; Paul Zuehsow, LaOtto, IN ; Mark Zuehsow, Chicago, IL; 1 daughter: Deborah Roberts, Garrett, IN; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Laura was preceded in death by her husband: Milton Zuehsow; parents: Karl H. and Minnie B. Rabey; 2 sisters: Eleanore Arnst and Vi Messerli; grandson: Trent Zuehsow Visitation will be from 10 - 11 a.m. Monday, January 12, 2015 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church - Garrett, IN. Services will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, January 12, 2015 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church - Garrett, IN. Officiating will be Pastor Andrew Yeager from Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.
