Lawrence Calvin Lantz age 89 of Garrett, IN passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Miller’s Merry Manor – Garrett, IN with his loving family by his side. Lawrence was born October 10, 1936 in Garrett, IN to Clarence J. and Dorothy B. (Roach) Lantz and they preceded him in death.

Lawrence was a 1954 Garret High School graduate and worked as process engineer at Dana Corporation for 33 years. He was a member of the Cedar Creek Church of the Brethren and was a past J.C. member.

Lawrence was a member of the Spencerville Horseshoe Club and the Avilla Horseshoe Club.

Lawrence is survived by 2 daughters: Thoma Smith, Garrett, IN; Theresa (Kerry) Sibery, Auburn, IN; 2 sons: Tim (Lisa) Lantz, Garrett, IN and Trey (Krista) Lantz, Ft. Wayne, IN; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister in-law: Judy Lantz, Auburn, IN and 4 nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Clarence J. and Dorothy B. Lantz; brother: Larry Lantz
