Lloyd E. Myers February 28, 1929 - August 2, 2013 Lloyd E. Myers age 84 of Auburn, IN and formerly of Garrett, IN died Friday, August 2, 2013 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. He was born February 28, 1929 in Garrett, IN to Clarence A. and E. Madeline (Todd) Myers. He married Carol J. Rutter on December 7, 1957 in Deshler, OH and she died January 3, 1993. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked as an engineer on the B & O Railroad for over 40 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of the Garrett Masonic Lodge and the Garrett Presbyterian Church. Lloyd is survived by his daughter: Sue (Robert) Church, Marshfield, WI and his son: Todd Myers, Waterloo, IN. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents: Clarence A. and E. Madeline Myers; Wife: Carol J. Myers; a brother: William Myers and a grandson. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Thomas Funeral Home - Garrett, IN Services will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2013 with Rev. William Haworth officiating Burial will follow in Christian Union Cemetery - Garrett, IN with military honors by the Garrett American Legion and VFW. Memorials are to American Parkinson's Association or the DeKalb County Humane Society.
