Lorraine (Tuggle) DeBord formerly of Williamsport, IN died on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born on November 26, 1927 in Tilton, IL to William Henry and Veda (Wallace) Tuggle. She was a 1945 graduate of Danville High School. In 1948 she married Albert P. DeBord who preceded her in death in 1984. She lived in Williamsport for over 40 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Women's club. She worked at the Williamsport Community Hospital retiring in 1992 after 30 Years of service. She loved the Purdue Boilermakers, the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Bears. She also enjoyed music and was blessed with a beautiful voice and loved to sing. But one of her proudest moments was watching her daughters graduate from college. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers; Jim Tuggle, Jean Tuggle, Edwin Tuggle, sisters; Wilma Tuggle, Doris McBride, Louise Carter, Helen Ligocki and Joan Tuggle. She is survived by daughters; Deborah S. DeBord (Margie Costis), Jane A. DeBord, "Adopted" daughters Nancy (Jim) McLaughlin Rivera and Susan Weimer all of Fort Wayne. She is also survived by sister-in-laws; Marian Day of West Lebanon, Betty Hurley of Williamsport and Martha (Bill) Pursifull of Huntington. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 4-7 pm at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 County Road 56, Garrett, IN. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 1 pm at the United Methodist Church, 17 East Monroe Street, Williamsport, IN with Rev. Cathy McCoy officiating. There will also be visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in West Lebanon Cemetery. Memorials are to American Legion Auxiliary Post 259, 408 S.R. 28 East, Williamsport, IN 47993 or the Williamsport United Methodist Church, 17 East Monroe St., Williamsport, IN 47993.
