Lynn Allen Schaefer age 70 of Corunna, IN passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at Parkview Reginal Medical Center – Ft. Wayne, IN. Lynn was born March 8, 1956 in Kendallville, IN.

Lynn worked at Carter Lumber- Corunna, IN.

Lynn was a member of the Northern Indiana Bee Keepers Association and enjoyed bee keeping, gardening, collecting muscle cars and repairing small engines.

Lynn is survived by his life partner of over 20 years – Tammy Dwyer, Corunna, IN; 2 brothers: Dean (Patty) Schaefer, Avilla, IN; John Schaefer, Huntertown, IN; 2 sisters: Karen Hood, Churubusco, IN; Ellen (Lance) Danner, Auburn, IN several nieces and nephews and his 6 cats: Katy, Bear, Tony, Miss Kitty, Happy and Shadow.

Lynn was preceded in death by his parents: Gale L. and Beverly J. (Runyan) Schaefer and a great niece.

Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2026 at Thomas Funeral Home – Garrett, IN

Services will take place at 12 p.m. Monday, July 13, 2026 at Thomas Funeral Home.

Burial will take place in Fairfield Cemetery – Corunna, IN

Memorials are to the DeKalb County Humane Shelter.
