Malinda S. Ferris, age 71 of Garrett, IN passed away Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Miller’s Merry Manor – Garrett, IN. Malinda was born April 20, 1955 in Royal Center, IN to Leo and Lorah (Hettinger) Chapman.

She worked as a Dietician.

Malinda is survived by her daughter: Samantha (Chad) Souder, Garrett, IN; sons: Kelby (Zonda) Musselman, Ft. Wayne, IN; Casey (Shannon) Musselman, Berne, IN brother: Robert Chapman, Tri-Lakes, IN; 4 grandchildren.

Malinda was preceded in death by her parents: Leo and Lorah Chapman; grandchildren: Sarah Musselman and Vincent Musselman; step- brothers: Kerry Hartle and Kenny Hartle; sisters: Madaline Smithheart and Melody Chapman.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
