Margaret M. Lung, age 92, of Garrett, IN died Thursday, June 2, at 7:58 AM, at Provena Sacred Heart, Avilla, IN. Margaret was born October 13, 1918 in Garrett, IN to Paul and Rosina Muzzillo and they preceded her in death. Margaret marred Ford R. Lung on April 21, 1945 in Garrett. He preceded her in death in 1997. Margaret was a homemaker most of her life and was known in the community as a seamstress who could fix or mend any item that was brought to her for mending. In her younger days she worked at her Father's Tavern, known to many as Martin's in downtown Garrett. She also worked at Electric Specialty Motors in the late 1960's. Margaret was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Rosary Society, and Harvest House. Surviving are Margaret's children: Robert (Mary) Lung of Auburn, IN, Tina (Steve) Baker of Aiken, SC, and Gerald (Trinita)Lung of Fort Wayne, IN. Margaret also is survived by four (4) grandchildren, Erin (Rodney) Edgar of Raleigh, NC; Matthew (Christy) Lung of Spencerville, IN; Jenna Lung of Denver, CO; and Jared Lung of Fort Wayne. Four (4) great-grandchildren, Jackson, Carter, Sophia, and Annabelle Lung, all of Spencerville, IN also survive. Two brothers, Norbert Muzzillo (Avilla) and Bernard Muzzillo (Winona Lake) and a sister, Theresa Whitcraft (Winona Lake) also survive. She was preceded in death by two brothers, and five sisters. Visitation will be from 4 - 8 p.m., Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Thomas Funeral Home, Garrett, IN. And also from 9 - 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. A rosary service will take place at 8 p.m. Sunday evening at Thomas Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Garrett, IN with Fr. Andrew Nazareth officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Creek Cemetery, Garrett, IN. Preferred Memorials are to St. Joseph Catholic School in Garrett, Masses or Provena Sacred Heart, Avilla.
