Margaret "Peg" L. Waring, 78 of Auburn, IN died on Friday, June 19, 2009 at 8:25 p.m. at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born March 6, 1931 in Buffalo, NY to Edward and Margaret (Fleming) Albright. She married Richard J. Waring on September 25, 1954 in Hamburg, NY. They moved to Auburn in 1963 to raise their family. Peg was a homemaker. She was an avid gardener, knitter and seamstress. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garrett, a member of the Spinning Spools Quilt Guild, past 4-H leader and past Girl Scout leader. Peg was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Surviving is her husband of fifty four years, Richard J. Waring of Auburn, Daughter and Son in-law, Bridget and Paul Beber of Auburn; Son and Daughter in-law, Richard Jr. and Deborah Waring of Kimmel; Daughter and Son in-law, Nanette and Scott Batey of Pleasant Lake and Son and Daughter in-law, Henry and Diana Waring of Avilla. One sister, Nancy Ludwig of Hamburg, NY and eleven grandchildren; Candace, Edward and Margaret Beber; Richard "Trey" Waring III, Kellie Waring, Colton Batey, Henry Waring Jr., Amelia, Seth, Lydia and Eric Waring. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Patricia DiRosa. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at 11 a.m at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garrett, with Fr. Andrew Nazareth officiating. Burial will follow in Christian Union Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Monday, June 22, 2009 from 2-8 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to Mass at the church. A rosary service will be held on Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
