Marianna Rist age 94 of Evans, Georgia and formerly of Garrett, IN died at 6:26 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2009 at Westwood Nursing Facility in Evans, GA. She was born March 27, 1915 in Militisch, Yugoslavia to Jacob and Veronica (Ivanovich) Schnepf. She married Peter Rist in 1933 in Militisch, Yugoslavia and he died in 1944. Marianna worked as a housekeeper at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Garrett, IN for 12 years, retiring in 1964. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garrett, Rosary Society, and the Harvest House. Survivors include: Daughter and Son In-Law, Elizabeth "Liz" and Stanley Greenberg, North Augusta, SC 6 Grandchildren 10 Great Grandchildren 1 Great Great Grandson Preceded in death by: Husband - Peter Rist Son - Frank Rist Brother - Frank Schnepf Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, September 4, 2009 at Thomas Funeral Home - Garrett, IN A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 2009 at St. Joseph Catholic Church - Garrett, IN with Fr.
