Marie R. Robke age 95 of Garrett, IN died Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Betz Nursing Home - Auburn, IN. She was born July 21, 1917 in Germany. She came to the United States in 1948 and became a citizen on April 9, 1956. She married Fritz Robke on December 29, 1957 in Garrett, IN and he died July 29, 1982. Marie was a homemaker and member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church - Garrett, IN, Ladies Aid - LWML (Lutheran Ladies Missionary League) and the Sunbeams Extension Homemakers. Marie is survived by a daughter: Lynn (Bill) Snyder, Garrett, IN; 3 steps sons: Arnold (Charlotte) Robke, Garrett, IN; Ewald Robke, Auburn, IN; and Fred (Rose) Robke, Harlan, IN. She is survived by her 5 grandchildren: Steve (Kathy) Barger, Harriman, TN; Tammy Lyall, Gainsville, GA; Betty (Ron) Groh, Garrett, IN; Linda (Don) Osbun, Dunn, NC; and Robert (Julie) Kahlke, Garrett, IN. 16 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren survive. Marie was preceded in death by her husband: Fritz Robke; brother: Ludwig Ullman; step-daughter: Wilma Kahlke and a great great grandson: Derek Garman. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, September 17, 2012 at Thomas Funeral Home - Garrett, IN and from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church - Garrett, IN. Services will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church - Garrett, IN with Rev. Herbert Gerken officiating.
