Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Eberhard, age 83, of Garrett, IN died on Thursday, June 21, 2007 at DeKalb Memorial Hospital. She was born July 20, 1923 in Ottumwa, IA to Arthur and Lucy (Baker) Galey. She married Dr. Roger G. Eberhard on September 26, 1946 in Chicago, IL and he died in 1988. She was a lifetime member and past President of the Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority and past President of the American Legion Auxiliary. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2007 from 2 -5 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 24, 2007 in Eberhard Cemetery in Columbia City, IN with Pastor Jim Lilley officiating. Memorials are to the Lions CLub Eye Bank.
