Maxine L. Brechbill age 60 of Auburn, IN died at 2:10 p.m. Thursday, December 18, 2008 at Miller's Merry Manor Nursing Home in Garrett, IN. Maxine was born February 28, 1948 in Bluffton, IN. Maxine graduated from Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN with an Associate Degree in Nusring. She married Philip R. Brechbill on June 8, 1968 in West Lafayette, IN. She was a nurse for 25 years, having worked most recently at the Garrett Clinic, Miller's Merry Manor in Garrett, IN and DeKalb Memorial Hospital in Auburn, IN. She was a member of the Garrett United Methodist Church, Tri Kappa Sorority and the Model Extension Homemakers and served as a 4-H leader. She is survived by her husband, Philip "Phil" R. Brechbill of Auburn, IN and 2 daughters, Beth and Matt Bechdol of Auburn, IN and Sarah Brechbill of Auburn, IN. A granddaughter, Grace Bechdol of Auburn, IN and a sister, Carol Gravit of Avilla, IN. There will be no services at this time. The family requests that memorial contributions be given in Maxine's memory to the Huntington Disease Society of America - Indiana Chapter P.O. Box 621, Beech Grove, IN 46107.
