Merley Jean "Marilyn" Howell age 84 of Garrett, IN and formerly of Ashley, IN died Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Parkview Regional Medical Center - Fort Wayne, IN. She was born February 2, 1932 in Leslie County, KY to Stell and Tilda Mae (Saylor) Roark and they preceded her in death. She married Freddie "Willie" Howell o September 19, 1972 in Garrett, IN and he died January 23, 2000. Merley worked as a machine operator at Electric Motors in Garrett for 20 years. Merley is survived by her son: Rex Roark, Garrett, IN and a sister: Martha Johnson, London, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband: Freddie "Willie" Howell and a son: Nelson Roark There will be no visitation or services and burial will take place at a later date.
