Nadene E. Cook age 72 of Garrett, IN died Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Miller's Merry Manor - Garrett, IN. Nadene was born January 29, 1944 in Garrett, IN to Forrest M. "Bud" and Deloris D. (Clanin) Cutler and they preceded her in death. Nadene married Donald Warren Cook on April 26, 1964 in Garrett, IN and he died March 28, 1970. Nadene was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church - Garrett, IN. having served for a period as church secretary. She was a youth bowling coach, a member of the Auburn Women's Bowling Association Hall of Fame and was a member of several bowling leagues in the area. She was a past secretary of the Garrett Alumni Association Nadene drove school bus for the G-K-B Schools for several years. Nadene is survived by her daughter: Carrie Smurr, Garrett, IN; son: Brian (Mary Kay) Cook, Garrett, IN; 3 grandchildren: Danyell (Jeremiah) Kemerer, Hicksville, OH; Kelsi Smurr, Garrett, IN; and Brady Cook, Garrett, IN; great granddaughter: Harper Kemerer, Hicksville, OH Nadene was preceded in death by her husband; parents: Forrest M. "Bud" and Deloris D.
