Nancy Ellen (Hays) Treesh, age 81 of Garrett, died on Friday, June 28, 2013 at her residence. She was born March 25, 1932 in Garrett to Hudson and Beatrice (Morris) Hays, they preceded her in death. She married Garland L. "Bud" Treesh on February 21, 1953 in Garrett and he died July 2, 1997. Nancy was Co-Founder of Tireville in Garrett. She was a member of the Garrett United Methodist Church and past member of the Auburn Skirts and Shirts Square Dance Club. Nancy loved the outdoors, especially fishing and gardening. She is survived by 4 sons and daughters in-law; David and Barb Treesh of Corunna, Doug and Deb Treesh of Corunna, Dana and Anne Treesh of Garrett and Dennis and Marilyn Treesh of Corunna; a brother, Richard Hays of Florida; a sister, Jeannette Jacob of Kendallville; 8 grandchildren, Kim Treesh, Jeff and Meghann Treesh, Daryl and Julia Treesh, Eric and Kayleigh Treesh, Jason Treesh, Jarrid and Katie Treesh, Jessica Treesh and Christopher Treesh and 8 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Linda D. Treesh; 2 brothers, William and Hudson Hays and a sister, Josephine McWilliams. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Garrett United Methodist Church with Dr. Scott Shoaff officiating. Burial will follow in Christian Union Cemetery in Garrett. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 from 2-8 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett and 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
