Patricia "Pat" Ann Bartels age 87 passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, November 10, 2025. Pat was born November 13, 1937 in Hicksville, OH to Harry B. and Pauline M. (Beverly) Ridenour and they preceded her in death. She married R. Wayne Bartels on September 6, 1958 in Garrett, IN. She and Wayne owned The Garrett Clipper for 25 years, retiring in 2000.

Pat was a member of the First Church of Christ in Garrett, IN, honorary member of Psi Iota Xi Sorority and was a volunteer at The JAM Center in Garrett for many years.

Pat was a past member of the Garrett Chamber of Commerce, Garrett Merchants Association and the Garrett Plan Commission She was a GHS Class of 1956 graduate.

Pat is survived by her husband: Wayne Bartels, Garrett, IN; son: Jeff (Jane) Bartels, Avilla, IN; 2 daughters: Jenny Teders, Garrett, IN; Cindy (Steve) Pfeif, Garrett, IN; IN; sister: Carolyn (George DeMarco) Ridenour, Beaver Creek Township, OH; brother: Paul (Kay) Ridenour, Pretty Lake, IN; grandchildren: Shannon (Mike) McClure, Huntertown, IN; Shane (Christie) Teders, Indiana, PA; Dereck Feagler, Garrett, IN; Devin Feagler, Garrett, IN; Tabitha (Cody) Ward, Garrett, IN; Trenton (Brooke) Bartels, Auburn, IN; great grandchildren: Jaden McClure, Taylor McClure, Fox Teders, Ella Teders, Ginny Teders, Raegan Feagler, Tate Feagler, Madeleine Temple, Waylon Ward and Opal Bartels.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents: Harry B. and Pauline M. Ridenour; son in-law: Max Teders.

Visitation will take place from 2-7 p.m.  Monday, November 17, 2025 at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, IN and from 10 – 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Church of Christ.

Services will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at the First Church of Christ – Garrett, IN with Brother Bud Owen officiating.

Burial will take place in Cedar Creek Cemetery – Auburn, IN at a later date.
