Pauline Martha (Lung) Mitchell age 92 of Avilla, IN and formerly of Garrett, IN died at 8:20 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2007 at Provena Sacred Heart Home, Avilla. Pauline was born December 28, 1914 in Butler Center to Frank A. and Myrtle V. (Mawry) Lung. She married Harry M. Mitchell on July 23, 1937 in Butler Center and he died June 5, 1973. Pauline worked for the Garrett Hardware for 52 years, retiring at age 80. She was a member of the Garrett United Methodist Church, Garrett Park Board, and Psi-Iota-Xi Sorority. She was active in the church community and Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m.Monday, July 30, 2007 at Thomas Funeral Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at Thomas Funeral Home. Officiating will be Dr. Scott Shoaff Burial in Christian Union Cemetery, Garrett, IN Memorials to the Garrett Community Center or Provena "E" Unit.
