Phillip Day "Fizzy" Conrad of Garrett, Indiana August 24, 1939 - July 27, 2015 Phillip D. "Fizzy" Conrad age 75 of Garrett, IN died at 12:00 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2015 at DeKalb Health - Auburn, IN. He was born August 24, 1939 in Wawaka, IN to Delbert E. and Izola M. (Hicks) Conrad and they preceded him in death. He married Kathie E. Speaker on August 26, 1967 in Avilla, IN He was co-owner of Conrad and Hawkins CPA in Garrett, IN for 52 years, retiring in 2013. He was a member of the Country Line Church of God - Auburn, IN. 4-H Shooting Sports, DeKalb County Sheriff Merit Board and the Garrett Redevelopment Commission. Phillip is survived by his wife: Kathie E. Conrad, Garrett, IN; son: Nathan (Melissa Fulk) Conrad, Garrett, IN; foster-son: Aaron Thomas, Los Angeles, CA; 2 brothers: Ronald (Penny) Conrad, Crooked Lake Angola, IN; Allan (Kate) Conrad, Elkhart, IN; 2 sisters: Glema (George) Klinger, Crooked Lake, Angola, IN; Joyce (Herb) Ohlwine, Churubusco, IN; and 2 grandsons: Clayton Conrad and Peyton Workman, Garrett, IN. Phillip was preceded in death by his parents: Delbert E. Conrad, Izola M. Conrad McMillen and a son: Derek R. Conrad Visitation will be from Noon - 5 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2015 at County Line Church of God with services taking place at 5 p.m. with Pastor Stuart Kruse and Phil's nephew - Daniel Bair officiating. Burial will take place on Monday, August 3, 2015 in Embrey Cemetery - rural Garrett. Memorials are to the 4-H Shooting Sports or County Line Church of God.
