Phillip A. Longsworth October 24, 1941 - August 21, 2014 Phillip "Phil" A. Longsworth, age 72, of Auburn, died on Thursday, August 21, 2014 after an accident. He was born October 24, 1941 in Fort Wayne to the late Arthur C. and Eva C. (Schrimp) Longsworth. He was a heavy equipment operator. Phil most recently attended County Line Church of God. He is survived by his former wife, Doris A. Longsworth of Auburn; two daughters, Toni (Scott) Carmer of Warsaw and Kristina (Todd) Beer of Fremont; son, Pat Longsworth of Auburn; brother, Steve (Marge) Longswoth of Indianapolis; sister, Sylvia Longsworth of Ossian; 6 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter and 2 step great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a great granddaughter. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 25, 2014 from 4-7 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Dr. Scott Carmer officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date.
