Phyllis Joan “P.J.” Miller age 90 of Columbia City, IN passed from this life on Monday, September 7, 2026, at Miller’s Merry Manor – Garrett, IN, with her loving family by her side. She was born July 11, 1936, in Churubusco, IN, to Henry E. and Beulah R. (Walters) Barbour and they preceded her in death. P.J. was a homemaker.

Phyllis is survived by her daughters: Sally Hamilton, Ft. Wayne, IN; Suzanne Miller, Churubusco, IN; son: Timothy (Nancy) Miller, Ft. Wayne, IN; daughter-in-law: Lyn Miller; grandchildren: John (Jessica) Hamilton Jr., Ft. Wayne, IN; Jennifer (Greg) Jenks, Anderson, IN; Janelle Poper, Ft. Wayne, IN; Anthony Fye, Seymour, IN; Edward Fye, Columbus, IN; Samantha Holliday; Alicia Heid. Also surviving are 20 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her son: Thomas Allen Miller; parents: Henry E. and Beulah R. Barbour.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, IN with Rev. David Mix officiating.

A Gathering of Friends and Family will take place from 10 – 11 a.m.
