She was born August 23, 1911 in Montgomery County, IN to George"Earl" and Rose (Maguire) Peterson and they preceded her in death. She married Cline L. Manges on December 29, 1934 in Lodoga, IN and he died December 24, 1972. Rachael was a homemaker. Rachael is survived by 3 daughters: Bertha Royer, Willard, OH; Gwyneth Kandel, Butler, IN; Nell (Dana) Failor, Fort Wayne, IN; 3 sons: Harry A. (Barbara) Manges, Fort Wayne, IN; Michael L. (Carol) Manges, Fort Wayne, IN; Hans P. (Kay) Manges, Bluffton, IN. ; step daughter: Joan Aiken, Lafayette, IN. She is survived by 19 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. A sister: Phyllis Miller, Ligonier, IN also survives She was preceded in death by her parents: George "Earl" and Rose Peterson; husband: Cline L. Manges; 3 son in-laws: George Kandel, Donald Royer and Kenneth Grobis, 1 grandson; step son: Clyde Manges, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. She had been a member of the First Church of Christ – Garrett, IN and an associate member of Trinity English Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, IN Visitation will be from 10 – 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Thomas Funeral Home Services will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, IN with Rev.
