Rachel N. Cutler, age 82, of Altona, IN died on Monday, September 17, 2007 at Miller's Merry Manor Nursing Home. She was born on October 28, 1924 in Bath, MI to Ronald and Lena (Domer) Sweet. She graduated from Wolcottville High School. She married Kenny E. Cutler Sr. on August 18, 1945 in Wolcottville, IN. They have lived in Altona for the past 54 years. She was a play ground monitor at J.E. Ober Elementary School for 12 years where she loved interacting with the children. She was very happily married for over 62 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed attending the Garrett United Methodist Church. She loved to make ceramics and grow her own flowers. She loved to bowl in the Tuesday Night Ladies League in Garrett and was once named bowler of the year. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2007 from 4-8 pm at Thomas Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2007 at 11:00 am at the funeral home, with Dr. Scott Shoaff officiating. Burial will follow in Christian Union Cemetery.
