Ralph L. Niman age 87 of Fort Wayne, IN and formerly Garrett, IN died at 1:09 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2012 at Lutheran Hospital - Ft. Wayne, IN. He was born April 18, 1925 in Churubusco, IN to Earl and Gertie (Deck) Niman and they preceded him in death. Ralph was a punch press operator at General Electric - Ft. Wayne for 35 years, retiring in 1985. Ralph married Edna L. Henderson on March 16, 1946 in Waterloo, IN and she died May 13, 1989. He later married Elma Brown and she died September 22, 2009. Ralph was a WW II Army veteran. He was a member of VFW Post 857 in Ft. Wayne, IN and a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners. Ralph is survived by many nieces and nephews, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents: Earl and Gertie Niman, 2 wives: Edna Niman and Elma Niman; a brother Paul Niman and his step-children: Gordon Roose, Jesse Roose Jr., Curtis Roose, Laura Balliet and Midge Geeting. Services will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2012 at Thomas Funeral Home - Garrett, IN with Pastor Jay Fisher officiating. Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Friday at Thomas Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery - rural Churubusco, IN. with military honors taking place. Memorials are to the Shriner's
