Rebecca E. "Becky" Obendorf, 88 of Garrett, died on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Miller's Merry Manor Nursing Home. She was born October 12, 1922 in Garrett to Christopher and Sylvia (Schlotterback) Marti. She was married to Guy Obendorf and died in 1964. Becky was a machinist at Electric Motors and Specialties for 42 years, retiring in 1993. She also was a member of the First Baptist Church in Garrett. Becky is survived by a daughter; Renee Cuff of Fort Wayne and two granddaughters; Kelly Wickerham of Fort Wayne and Kim Wickerham of St. Joe. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers; Jacob, William, Harold, Alfred, Ottis and Arthur and three sisters; Clarabelle, Mary and Ardith. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 6 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett. Rev. David Mix will officiate. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials are to St. Martin's Health Care
