Our beloved Mother and Grandmother Rebie Crager, age 104, went home to be with our Lord in heaven on Sunday, October 21, 2012. Rebie was born May 7, 1908 in McGoffin County, KY to Loren and Delany (Wireman) Neeley. Rebie was raised in McGoffin County on Bull Creek with her parents and six brothers and two sisters. One brother Thomas (Robie) Neeley and one sister Susie Neeley survive. In 1924 Rebie met and married the love of her life Johnie Crager. They moved their young family to Garrett in 1942. He died in March, 1944 in an automobile accident leaving her with nine young children to raise. She was a wire winder at Electric Motors in Garrett, retiring in 1974. Rebie was a member of the Auburn Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, quilting and gardening. Her family will always remember her loving presence and her strength with God by her side. Rebie is survived by 3 daughters and 4 sons; Beulah Herron of Lisbon, Bethel Mohseni of Colorado Springs, CO, Belva Demaree of Albion, Curt Crager of Angola, Cola Crager of Garrett and Bruce Crager of Plainfield, IN; Rebie had 27 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren and 40 great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Willie and Carl Crager. The funeral service will take place on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Garrett with Rev. Dean Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Christian Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2012 from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
