Retha J. Ruger, 75, of LaOtto, IN died unexpectedly on Monday, June 30, 2008 at St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne,IN. She was born October 18, 1932 in Waterloo, IN to Charles B. and Florence V. (Hanson) Bloom. She married Jack V. Ruger on March 29, 1958 at the Cedar Creek Church of the Brethren in Garrett, IN. She was a homemaker and a secretary at Mutual Security in Fort Wayne,IN. She was a member of the Cedar Creek Church of the Brethren, Ladies Aid, and a volunteer at St. Joseph Catholic School and St. Martin's Healthcare. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at Thomas Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to services Thursday at the church. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2008 at the Cedar Creek Church of the Brethren in Garrett, IN. Officiating will be Pastor Brad Hardesty. In Lieu of flowers, memorials are to St. Martin's Healthcare or Heifer International. Survivors include: Husband - Jack V.
