Rhonda R. Bradin, a dedicated and compassionate registered nurse, passed away on February 7, 2026, in Garrett, Indiana, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 3, 1962, in Kendallville, Indiana, Rhonda devoted more than 30 years of her life to caring for others at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Her kind heart and genuine empathy touched the lives of countless patients, making her a cherished member of the hospital family.
Throughout her life, Rhonda had a deep love for animals and a strong appreciation for the great outdoors. Whether it was a quiet moment spent in nature or the joy of caring for pets, she found solace and happiness in these simple yet profound connections. Her passion for life shone brightly in all she did, inspiring those around her to embrace the beauty of the world.
Rhonda is survived by her beloved husband, James M. Bradin; her son, John Bradin; her brother, James Smolek; and her sisters, Debrah, Paula, and Darlene. Together, they will carry forward her legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to family.
She was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Mildred Smolek
A graveside service to honor Rhonda's memory will be held on February 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Christian Union Cemetery in Garrett, Indiana. As we remember Rhonda, may we celebrate her life, her spirit, and the generous heart that brought comfort and joy to so many. May her memory forever shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her.
