Richard "Dick" L. Kemerling age 82 of Corunna, IN died Wednesday afternoon in Auburn, IN. He was born April 29, 1935 in Atchison County, MO to Clay Myrle and Alice (Hill) Kemerling. He married Marsha "Louise" Clement on April 1, 1962 in Brookfield, MO. Richard was a warehouseman at Super Value/Food Marketing for 30 years, retiring in 2000.

Richard was a member of the First Church of Christ – Garrett, IN, Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star.

Richard is survived by his wife: Louise Kemerling, Corunna, IN; daughters: Marsha Lea (Rick) Kiersey, Kendallville, IN; Katie (Max) Aldrich, Garrett, IN; brothers: Eugene (Grace) Kemerling, Riverside, MO; Robert Alan (Jan) Kemerling, Mason, OH; sister: Margaret (William) Harmon, Overland Park, KS; grandson: Adam Carroll, Logansport, IN; granddaughter: Megan Carroll, Ft. Wayne, IN; grandson: Brandon (Brittany) Carroll, Garrett, IN; Granddaughter: Elizabeth Aldrich, Garrett, IN grandson: Nathaniel Kiersey, Carlisle, PA and a great granddaughter Carroll on the way. Also surviving are a brother in-law: Duane (Sherry) Clement, Tarkio, MO; sister in-law: Kay Kemerling, Groveport, OH and several nieces and nephews.

Richard was preceded n death by his parents: Myrle and Alice Kemerling; brother: Stanley Paul Kemerling

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2017 at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, IN and from 9 – 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Church of Christ – Garrett, IN.

Services will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the First Church of Christ – Garrett, IN with Brother Bud Owen and Jerry Weller officiating.

Burial will take place in Christian Union Cemetery – Garrett, IN
