Richard "Dick" O. Murley age 90 of Garrett, IN died at 11:15 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2009 at Miller's Merry Manor - Garrett, IN. Richard was born November 8, 1918 in Garrett, IN to Owen A. and Harriett A. (Myers) Murley. He married Marvene M. Lewis on Ocotober 13, 1940 in Garrett, IN and she survives in Garrett, IN. He was an engineer on the B & O Railroad for 38 years, retiring in 1977. He was a member of the First Church of Christ - Garrett, IN and the Garrrett Eagles, Garrett Historical Society and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Fireman and Engineers. Sanborn, Angola, IN 14 Great Grandchildren Visitation will be from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Thomas Funeral Home. Services will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, April 3, 2009 at Thomas Funeral Home with burial to follow in Cedar Creek Cemetery - Garrett, IN.
