He married Janet L. Nodine on May 17, 1964 in Garrett, IN and she survives in Garrett. Robert was a laborer at Tokheim in Fort Wayne, IN for 40 years, retiring in 2002. Robert was a U.S. Marine Corp. veteran. Robert is survived by his wife: Janet L. Bowers, Garrett, IN; son: Scott Bowers, Kendallville, IN; daughter: Debra Bowers, LaOtto, IN; Grandsons: Casey Bowers and Cole Bowers, Garrett, IN and a sister: Dorthy (William) Scheurich, Avilla, IN.
