Royce Albert Higgins age 93 of Garrett, IN passed away Saturday, December 7, 2024 surrounded by his loving family/ Royce was born November 30, 1931 in Garrett, IN to Walter and Helen (Long) Higgins and they preceded him in death. He married Mary K. Maggert on February 4, 1956 in Altona, IN and she survives in Garrett. He was an electrician –working at Kitchen Equip., Hubbard Spool and Bralin Laser. - retiring in 1993. Royce was a Korea War veteran – serving in Naval Aviation.

He was a member of the Garrett Presbyterian Church.

Royce loved fishing, traveling, camping and built many things and was a jack of all trades and master of most of them!

Royce is survived by his wife: Mary K. Higgins, Garrett, IN; 2 daughters: Susan Richardson, Auburn, IN; Cheryl Spires, Augusta, GA; 2 sons: Tim Higgins, Winston-Salem, NC; Gary Higgins, Garrett, IN. and 3 grandchildren.

Royce was preceded in death by his parents: Walter and Helen Higgins, step mother: Vera Higgins; brother: Normand Higgins.
