He was born May 21, 1997 in Fort Wayne, IN to Eric D. and Angela M. (Greim) Hathaway. Ryan graduated from Garrett High School in 2015 and was a member of the baseball, soccer, wrestling, and basketball teams. He was a member of the First Church of Christ - Garrett, IN and was involved in its youth group. Ryan had worked as a CNA at DeKalb Health on the Med-Surg floor and was recently working assembly at Accel International - Avilla, IN. Ryan is survived by his mother: Angela Hathaway, Garrett, IN; father: Eric (Kristina) Hathaway, Auburn, IN; brother: Kyle Hathaway, Auburn, IN; sister: Alivia Spratt, Garrett, IN; step brothers: David Savage, Corry, TN; Lyle Savage, Anderson, IN.; step sisters: Alexis Doster, Auburn, IN; Miki (Spencer) Fiandt, Garrett, IN; Elisha Mills, Garrett, IN; and Autumn Byerley, Ft. Hood, TX. Ryan is survived by his grandparents: Dewayne "Bud" and Carol Hathaway, Garrett, IN; Theresa Greim, Ft. Wayne, IN; Linda Scott, Greensburg, IN and great grandmother: Betty Pratt, Searcy, AR. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, IN and from 10-11 a.m. Thursday, January 21, 2016 at the First Church of Christ - Garrett, IN Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 21, 2016 at the First Church of Christ, 213 E. King St., Garrett, IN with Youth Minister Chad Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in Christian Union Cemetery - Garrett, IN Memorials are to Thomas Funeral Home to assist with expenses.
