Sarah I. "Izzy" Lung, 81, of Garrett, IN died on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at Parkview Hospital. She was born on May 26, 1926 in North Judson, IN to Harry W. and Octava (Geyer) Kelley, they preceded her in death. She married Lawrence H. "Pete" Lung on May 18, 1946 and he died on November 22, 2004. She worked at Wyatt's Hardware and then Essex Wire until her retirement in 1972. She was a member of the Garrett American Legion Auxillary and Garrett Eagles Auxillary. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2008 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Thomas Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Jim Lilley officiating. Burial will follow in Christian Union Cemetery. Memorials are to the American Cancer Society or the First Church of Christ in Garrett, IN.
