Sherry L. Woodward June 9, 1951 - May 20, 2012 Sheryl "Sherry" L. Woodward, 60 of Garrett, a loving wife, devoted mother and grandma, died on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Kendallville Manor. She was born June 9, 1951 in Garrett. She was the daughter of the late Donna and Gene "Pete" Peters and James and Martha Wappes. She married James A. "Woody" Woodward on May 20, 1972 in LaOtto and he survives in Garrett. She had worked for the Garrett-Keyser-Butler Schools in the cafeteria. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Avilla and the Avilla American Legion Auxiliary Post 240. Sherry loved to collect Americana and she dearly loved her "Coffee Group" of over 30 years. Also surviving are two sons, Jason (Christina) Woodward of Kendallville and Eric Woodward of Garrett; three brothers, Chad (Lynda) Wappes of Kendallville, Brett (Pam) Peters of Avilla and Jim (Dee) Wappes of Goshen; a sister, Myra (Paul) Dix of Churubusco and two grandsons, Hunter and Landon Woodward of Kendallville. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Garrett with Pastor Dean Bearman officiating. Burial will follow in Christian Union Cemetery in Garrett. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are to Kendallville Manor
